At the beginning of 1920, Leopold Weiss, a Jew of Viennese origin, travels to the Middle East, where he eventually settles and converts to Islam. Change his name to Muhammad Assad. He became one of the most important Muslims of the 20th century: advisor to the royal court of Saudi Arabia, co-founder of Pakistan and translator of the Koran into English. Muhammad Assad was a man who wanted to serve as a bridge between East and West.
