This documentary is the story of Joan Pipa, a man who walks in front of his herd following the seasons. The transhumant shepherd is part of our collective imagination. Juan is perhaps the last representative of this ancient tradition. We accompanied him on his last transhumance trip to the Catalan Pyrenees and day by day we delved into his intimacy, the past and the present of a man who loves his job and who spreads the joy of the freedom to live with virgin nature.
But the progressive abandonment of the countryside, aggressive industrialization, unbridled growth, urbanism fever, the multiplication of new infrastructures and now climate change put an end to the dream and lead us towards an uncertain future. Is the disappearance of transhumance progress, or the death of our civilization?
